How to Edit an Email Template in Focus 2

This guide provides a step-by-step process for editing and sending a quote email template, making it an essential resource for anyone looking to streamline their communication with clients.   1. Navigate to https://training.solatech-dos.com/

  1. Click here.

  1. Click "Account Administration"

  1. Under Output, click "Email templates"

  1. The provided email templates are locked by Solatech. To edit, copy the only you wish to change. Click the "Duplicate" icon (the stacked pages) on the right side.

  1. Click "OK"

  1. Use this dropdown menu to choose where this email template will be displayed. for this example we will click "Quotes"

  1. If you wisht to attach a process report, click to lower the dropdown menu to select from the available process reports. For this example, we will click "Quote_Comments Added"

  1. Click the "Body" field.

  1. Click the "Body" field and make any desired changes to the body of the email.

  1. To add any fields that will auto-populate with the customer's data, click the link "here" at the bottom left, above "Save"

  1. Clicking on the "here" link opens up this KB (Knowledge Base) article with all options for customer fields. Add as few or as many as you like. Be sure to include two brackets on both the left and right, as in the example below:
    [[[[CustomerLastName]]]]

  1. Click the "Body" field and paste (or type) the new customer field. Reminder: be sure to use the brackets.

  1. If you wish to copy any particular email address, include it in the CC and/or Bcc fields.

  1. Change the subject line if desired.
    When the template looks as desired, Be sure to click "Save" to save your changes.

  1. To Test your changes, open a quote and click "Email"

  1. Choose the template you changed, by clicking on the dropdown menu and selecting it. In this example we created and edited "Quote Review (1)"

  1. Click the fields and Body fields to ensure your changes are saved.
