Setting up Google Calendar and Gmail

Summary

Solatech Focus users can integrate with Google Calendar to schedule appointments through the system. If you are using Gmail as your mail provider, you can set that up in the same step. This knowledge base article will provide instructions on how to complete this setup. 

Instructions - Calendar

  1. Click Admin from the upper navigational bar
  2. This will take you to your user account page
  3. Scroll down to the section Google Integration
  4. Click the button Sign in with Google
  5. This will take you to a Google sign in page
  6. You will need to approve the items that Solatech should have access to - these are listed below
    1. View and Edit events on all your calendars
    2. See and Download any calendar you can access using your Google Calendar
    3. Send Email on your behalf (this only needs to be allowed if you are using Gmail as your mail provider)
  7. Click Continue to complete the process

Instructions - Gmail

  1. If you are using Gmail as your mail provider, scroll to the Email section
  2. Place a check mark to the left of Use my Gmail account
  3. Send a test message
  4. Click Apply to save your changes
