Using Adjustments and Promotions
Summary
If the Adjustments and Promotions feature is enabled for your Site and/or Account, you will be able to use this feature to add; remove; or edit discounts or surcharges. This knowledge base article provides user instructions.
Instructions
On the quote review screen, expand Order Total to see two sections: Adjustments Discounts and Adjustment Surcharges. Both Adjustment Discounts and Adjustment surcharges can be automatic, meaning that they will be added as you add line items. . You will also have the option to add additional discounts and surcharges. Below are instructions for adding and editing discounts and surcharge on a quote.
Adding Discounts/Promotions
- Expand the Adjustments Discounts section
- Click the Add button
- A list of all available discounts will be shown
- Place a check mark to the left of one discount name
- Click OK
- If the charge has a value associated with it (ex: 10% or $50) it will be automatically added
- If there is no value associated with the charge, you will be a pop-up window. This is where you can give the charge a value
- By default, if the charge is a percentage, you will be prompted to enter a percentage in the Type field. You can also enter a dollar amount by placing a check in the button beside Override the amount to enter a dollar amount
- Adjustments Surcharges can be added in the same way.
Editing discounts or surcharges
- Place a check mark to the left of one discount/surcharge
- Click the Edit Amount button
- Either enter a new percentage (if applicable) or a new dollar amount
- Click OK to exit and save
Deleting discounts or surcharges
- Place a check mark to the left of one or more discounts/surcharges
- Click the Delete button
