Selecting the Right Alta Promotions in Solatech Focus, and how to Enable/Disable Them

Summary

Like many vendors, Alta offers promotions to dealers as an incentive to sell more Alta products. Those promotions are available in Focus and are viewable and adjustable under Admin/Adjustments, and fall under Vendor Discounts. You, as the dealer, are advised to enable the ones applicable to your account and disable any which do not apply. This article will share these promotions and how to find and select them within Solatech Focus.

Note: This is intended for Site Administrators, but most steps will work for Account Admins also. 


Instructions

First of all, let’s list the Alta Discounts and their corresponding Vendor Discounts inside the Focus app, under Adjustments. 

                 

Automation :

Alta - 10% off Bliss/Somfy Shade Orders (Honeycomb/Cellular, Roller Shades, Banded Shades, Sheer Shadings, and Natural Woven)

Solatech - Alta 10% Vendor Discount Bliss/Somfy (Vendor)

 

Alta -  $25 Instant Per Unit Rebate. Shades ordered with a Bliss or Somfy Motor (Honeycomb/Cellular, roller Shades, Banded Shades, Sheet Shadings, and Natural Woven)

Solatech - Alta $25 Vendor Discount Bliss/Somfy (Vendor)

 

Roller Shades:

Alta -  Free Cordless Lift (formerly AgileLift)

Solatech - Alta Roller Shades Free Cordless (Vendor)

 

Alta - Non Automated (Bliss/Somfy): $10 per unit instant rebate off of invoice

Honeycomb & Cellular:

Enabling and Disabling Adjustments:

Note the graphic below.

In the red box the "Yes" next to each Vendor Discount means each one is enabled. Most retailers may not be eligible for all listed promotions. For the promotions that do not apply, the user will want to disable the ones they are not receiving from Alta, for the most accurate pricing. 

In the green box the "Yes" next to each Vendor Discount indicates they are set to apply automatically when conditions of the Vendor Discount are met. 

Vendor Discounts and Vendor Surcharges cannot be changed, but can be disabled. Customer adjustments can be change, enabled or disabled. 

To disable a promotion, check the box of the promotion you wish to edit, and then click the Edit button. 

You will see the name of the promotion in the green box below.
In the red box, note the blue checked Enabled box. 
To disable this promotion, simply uncheck the blue box and click Save at the bottom of the page. 

Copying Vendor Adjustments to Customer Adjust:

The Account Admin cannot make changes to Vendor Discounts/Surcharges, but can enable or disable them. However, Customer Discounts/Surcharges can be changed by the Account or Site Admins. For this reason, you may wish to copy Vendor Discounts/Surcharges to Customer Discounts/Surcharges for more control. The process is simple and works identically for copying all adjustments. 

For this example, we will copy a Vendor Surcharge to a Customer Surcharge. Note
a) We are on Vendor Surcharges
b) The checked box on the left side. You will need to check the box of each adjustment you wish to copy. 
c) The green box around the ellipsis. Once you have selected the surcharge(s) you wish to copy, there is a menu here. 

Click the ellipsis and choose Copy to Customer. Click OK on the confirmation box that opens up. 

Finally, refresh the page, and click on Customer Surcharges. You should see the Vendor Surcharge is copied. See the green box below.
