This guide provides a step-by-step process for removing data from a process report. We'll use Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for this example. It is advised that users seeking to customize their quotes first copy the main report.
By following this guide, users can efficiently generate accurate and tailored quotes that enhance sales presentations and client interactions. Viewing this guide will streamline your quoting process and improve your overall productivity in Focus 2.
Let's begin on the quote review page. From here we will open a preview of the quote to see the MSRP. Click "Preview" to start. To view the MSRP on the report, we'll click "Quote"
Note "MSRP" on this process report named "Quote" We will navigate to the Report Designer tool to make changes to this (or any) process report.
To bring up the navigation menu, click the gear in the upper right, then click "Account administration"
That will take you to the general Focus 2 menu. From here, click "Process reports"
Once the process reports tab is open, find the report you with to edit. For this example we will use "Quote". To copy/duplicate the original, click the pages to the right of the pencil. Note: It is recommended that you copy the report and that changes are only made to the copy, not the original.
Two reports cannot have the same name. The report will add a number in parentheses to the original name. The use an accept or change it by clicking the "Name" field and typing the name preferred.
For this example, we will call this report "Quote_NO MSRP". Once the name is correct, click "Save"
Now that we have duplicated the main report, and given the new report a name, click the pencil to proceed.
Click the purple "Design Report" button to open Report Designer.
Once inside the Report Designer application, not the cell you wish to delete. Note in our example, the call is MSRP.
Right-click the cell "MSRP" and click "Cell Expression"
Simply highlight and delete the data in the gray box. Once you finish, click "Save"
As you did with MSRP, right-click "{BaseCost}". Click "Cell Expression"
As you did with MSRP, delete the characters in the gray box. Once complete, click "Save"
Before saving the report, it is recommended that that user click "Preview" to first take a look.
You will be taken to this page. Use the drop-down menus to choose a sample quote. In this case we'll view quote # 1501 (Don Cheadle)"
Once you have chosen the quote, click the "Preview" button.
This will open the chosen quote under the process report the user is editing Check that the data has changed.
To return to the previous screen, click the back arrow in the upper left-hand corner.
a) If you like the change, click save: b) If you wish to continue working, please do so.
Since you saved the report name earlier, there is no need (but also no harm) to save it again. The process is complete and you may now go to the quote review screen and use the new changed process report.
