This article explains how to use the Multi-Measurement feature in the Quick Entry screen of the Solatech Window Covering Software.
The Multi-Measurement feature simplifies the measuring process when you need to take multiple measurements and use the smallest (or largest). It allows you to take and send many measurements and the software will find and use the correct measurement based on your settings.
While in Quick Entry, click the Options button and then click Other Settings. Once the options screen is displayed click on the Advanced tab.
By default the multi-measurement feature will take three measurements. You can change thenumber of measurements from 1 to 16.
Turn off after each measurement
In order to take multiple measurements the Enable multi-measurement mode check box must be checked on the main Quick Entry form. Normally, this check box remains enabled so that you can take multiple measurements for both width and height. If you want to take multiple measurements on an infrequent bases you can check the box labeled Turn off after each measurement. This will cause the multi-measurement mode to be disabled when you move from one field to the next, for example from width to height.
Automatically determine smallest or largest measurement to use
If this is checked then the system will automatically determine if it should use the smallest or largest of the multiple measurements based on what column, width or height, the cursor is on. The system will use the smallest measurement for Width and the largest for Height. If you uncheck this box then you will need to make sure you select the correct setting on the main Quick Entry form before you take the last of your multiple measurements.
Using the multi-measurement feature is simply a matter of taking multiple width or height measurements, sending one at a time, just like you normally do. The only difference is that the system will store the measurements and only apply the correct one once the last measurement has been sent.
