How to Send Quotes or Sales from a Roaming Workstation to the Main System
Summary
This article will describe how to sync a
quote or sale from a roaming workstation to the main system in SalesPRO.
Once a quote or sale has been synced to the main system, it will stay
in sync from that point forward. Whether a change is made on the Main
System or on the Roaming Workstation, the changes will be automatically
applied on both.
Instructions
- From within the software, navigate to the Workflow tab and select the Items to Sync icon.

- The Items to Sync window will show all Quotes and Sales not yet synced to the main system, along with their current status.
- Select one item, then click the Sync icon.
- You will receive a message that the Quote/Sales/Order has been marked to be synced.

- While
the sync is in process, the quote or sale is temporarily locked. If
you attempt to open it, you will receive a message letting you know to
wait a few minutes.
- Please note that the sync of a quote or
sale can take up to 45 minutes if both the Roaming Computer and the Main
Computer are connected to the internet for that time period. If one or
both go offline, the process will take longer.
- When the quote
or sale has been successfully synced to the Main system, the Roaming
Workstation will automatically receive an update which will replace the
reference number with the final quote or sale number. The quote or sale
will no longer be locked at that point.
- Changes made from that
point forward will automatically be synced, whether the change is made
on the Main system or on the Roaming Workstation.
