This article explains how to send a product file to Solatech.
There are times when you may need to send a product file to Solatech. Follow these steps to identify, locate and send the file. If Solatech needs to send the file back they will provide instructions.
The first step is to identify the product you need to send. If you are working with the product in Product Designer then you probably already know what product file you need to send. If you are having a problem with a product in Order Entry then you need to find that product in Product Designer so you can figure out what actual file to send
Once you have identified the product you need to send, you need to determine the actual product file that needs to be sent, as sometimes the product name is different than the product file name. There are two steps in locating the product. The first is to determine the product file name, then you can locate the actual file.

Note: There may be two files with the name name listed in File Manager. One will have a type of XML Document file and the other will have either MDB File or Microsoft Office Access Database. The latter is the file you want to send.
Once you have the product located you can send it by clicking the Send To button on the File Manager toolbar. This will open Simple Data Transfer. Fill in the required fields and send the file Solatech. When prompted for the e-mail address of the recipient, use support@solatech.com.
Another way to send the file is locate the file in Windows Explorer. Right-click on the file and choose Send to, someone via Simple Data Transfer. This will also start the Simple Data Transfer utility where you can fill in the required fields and send the file.
