How to Retain Options when Selecting a New Product and/or Style in Detailed Price Compare

This article describes how to use a new check box in Detailed Price Compare "Replace options on Existing Line Items".

- You must be running SWCS 4.2 version 4.2.0.456 or higher
- You must have installed Hot Fix 333587
Overview
- In Detailed Price Compare, a new check box has been added in the lower left hand corner "Replace options on existing line items"
- When this box is checked, ALL VALUES in the right hand Compare To Column will be applied to each line item chosen to be replaced, except the options of Room Location, Width, Height and Mount.
This is how Detailed Price Compare worked prior to Hot Fix 333587. The
software will remind you of this with the pop-up message below:
- When this box is not checked, and you
select a new Product and/or Style, any options which are available in
the new Product/Style will be retained in the line items chosen to be
replaced. All other options will be changed to the default values for
the new Product/Style. The software will remind you of this with the
pop-up message below:
Note: If you do not check
this box and do not change the product or style, no changes will be made
to your line items, regardless of the selections made in the section When replacing line items.
