How to reset the sync status for a quote or sale on a Roaming Workstation

Summary

In SalesPRO, quotes, sales  and orders (Q/S/O) are briefly locked during the sync process.  Depending on your file sharing service and internet connectivity, the process could take up to 45 minutes.  During this time, you cannot open the Q/S/O on the roaming workstation.  Please note that you can still print or preview output or apply payments (How to generate output or apply payments to a locked quote or sale) when the Q/S/O is locked.  While not recommended,  there may be instances in which you need to open the Q/S/O to review or make a change. This article describes the sync reset process.

Instructions

  • From within SalesPRO on the Roaming Workstation, click on the locked Q/S/O.  It will be highlighted in blue
  • On the upper ribbon, use the dropdown arrow under the Sync icon and select Reset Sync Status


  • You will receive a message that the Q/S/O and any associated purchase order(s) have been reset.
  • The Q/S/O can then be opened normally.
  • Please note that you will need to Sync the Q/S/O again to send it to the main system after the reset.
