How to enter a new base retail price in order entry

Summary

SalesPRO software gives you the ability to enter a base retail price of your choice in Order Entry for any product in the software.  This is especially helpful when using Customer (CUS) products that do not have any pricing by design.  By entering a base retail price, you can continue to use Customer Discounts and have them display properly in Order Entry and on Process Reports.

Instructions

  • From within Order Entry, select Add Product.
  • Select any product in the software.  For this example, we will use CUS-Custom Pleated Shades.
  • Most Custom products do not have any pricing pre-entered.
  • Enter as many options as desired (Width, Height, Pattern, etc.).
  • The price will be $0.00 if you are using a Custom Product.
  • Switch to the Breakdown Tab.
  • Click on Base Retail Price.
  • Enter the desired price.
  • Hit OK.

  • If we add a customer discount of 20%, this amount will by deducted from the Base Retail Price, and will display properly both in Order Entry and on any process reports which show discounts line by line.
