Starting with version 4.2.365 of the Solatech Window Covering Software, the ability to create multiple customer types is not enabled by default. To enable this ability a entry must be added to the Windows registry.

To enable multiple customer types

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows to correct them. Solatech cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.

  1. From the Start menu, click Run.
  2. Type "regedit.exe" and press Enter.
  3. Navigate to the key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Solatech\Window Covering Software\4.0"
  4. From the Edit menu, click New, DWORD Value.
  5. Give the new entry the name "AllowMultipleCustomerTypes".
  6. Edit the new entry (by double-clicking it) and change it's value to 1.
  7. Click OK to close the Edit window.
  8. Close the Registry editor.
