How to Create an Adjustment
- Click the Gear icon

- Click "Account administration" on the dropdown menu

- Navigate to the menu on the left of the screen and click "Adjustments"

- Choose the Type of Account Adjustment You Would Like to Make

Tip! These are the different Types of Adjustments:
Customer Discounts - these apply either automatically or are manually added discounts at the quote/sale level
Customer Surcharges - these apply either automatically or are manually added surcharges at the quote/sale level
Item Price - these will add a flat amount or percentage to the customer's price at the line item level
Item Cost - these can add/subtract a flat amount or percentage based on MSRP or your cost, at the line item level
Vendor Discounts/Surcharges - these add the items shown in Customer Discounts/Surcharges to your PO's only
- Click "Add"

- Type the name of the new adjustment in the "Name" field

- Quantity can be selected, but would normally stay at a quantity of 1

- Click "Group" Dropdown

- Select the Group this Adjustment Applies to from the Dropdown Menu
Tip! Groups are for organizational purposes only (customers will not see this). You can choose from what's listed in the dropdown menu or type your own into the field.
- Click the "Services Category" Dropdown
Note: The services category is not required. If a category is selected, the adjustment will show up in the “Totals” section of the customer facing quote. If no category is selected, the adjustment will show as a line item on the customer facing quote.

- Select the Service Category from the Dropdown Menu
Note: You can also type your desired category into the Services Category field.

- Type a Description in the "Description" Field
Note: The description field is not required, it is for informational purposes only.

- Use the “Enabled” toggle switch to enable or disable the adjustment

- Use the “Taxable” toggle switch to indicate if the adjustment if taxable or not

- Use the “Apply between” toggle switch to set a date range for which this adjustment will apply.

- Click the first "Date" field to select the start date

- Click the second "Date" field to select the end date

- Use the “Auto apply” toggle switch to indicate if this adjustment will automatically apply to quotes/sales

- Click "Select an Expression" to Begin Adding Criteria to the Adjustment
Note: The criteria determines when this adjustment will apply to the quote or sale.

- Click the dropdown menu to select an expression type

Tip! An explanation and an example of the chosen expression shows in the pop-up window
- Select an expression from the dropdown menu

- Click "OK"

- The expression will automatically apply to the adjustment
- Click on the blue portion of the criteria (contains “”) that was just added.

- The “contains” field can be dropped down to select other options like “does not contain” or “equals”.
- Type the desired text into the given field and click “OK”

- Click the plus to add another criteria item

- Click "AND" to switch between “AND” and “OR” criteria.

- The Button Will Toggle Between "AND" and "OR" Each Time it's Clicked

- Repeat steps 21-28 to continue adding criteria
- Click "+” group button to add a new criteria group

- Complete Steps 21-28 to Finish Setting Up the Criteria Group
- Your completed criteria will populate under the "Criteria" section and a statement of the criteria will show at the bottom

- Click the "Type" dropdown

- Select the type value from the dropdown menu - in this step you are telling the adjustment what you want it to do if the criteria passes. If there is no criteria, the adjustment will always pass.
Tip! An Explanation of Each Value is Located Under the Title of the Value in the Grey
- Type in the amount to subtract from price in the "Subtract from Price" field
Note: This adjustment is a customer discount, which will “Subtract” an amount. If this were a surcharge, the field would say “Add”.

- Type in the amount to subtract from cost in the "Subtract from Cost" field

- More value types may be added by clicking the “+”, although most adjustments will only have one

- The "Test" section allows you to test your adjustment on a specific Quote or Sale

- Expand the “Test” section and type in a Quote or Sale number into the given field.

- Click "Test"

- Check the "Result Price" and "Result Cost" outputs to confirm your adjustment is working correctly

- Click "Save"

- Your adjustment will populate on the Adjustments page under the corresponding tab
