How to Capture Customer Signature directly from Print Preview

This article provides information on capturing a customer signature using Adobe Reader to preview quotes or orders in Solatech. This can be used as an alternative to Journal Note Writer for Solatech users with tablet PCs.

- To preview output in Adobe Reader, you must have installed Hot Fix 333587
- You must also have the current version of Adobe Reader Installed. To download and install the latest version, click here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
NOTE: If you have the full, paid program called Adobe Acrobat (any version) installed on your PC, please consult your IT department for information on capturing signatures.
Instructions
- From within Order Entry, select Print
- On the Generate Output window, place a check mark to the left of the desired output
- Use the drop down menu to the right of the Preview button and select Preview with Adobe
- The selected output will be opened using Adobe Reader
Capturing the Signature
- In the right hand column, select Comment as shown below
- At the top of Adobe Reader, select the Draw icon as shown below
- Scroll to the signature section.
- Sign with a stylus or with fingertip
- Press the save icon in the upper left hand corner of the window
- Press the email icon to email a copy of the order to your customer.
