This article explains why starting with version 4.2.0.343 of the Solatech Window Covering Software, the company databases must be the same version when syncing a Roaming Workstation.
Starting with version 4.2.0.343 the company database version of the Roaming Workstation must be the same as the main system to which it's syncing. If they are not the same version then the sync will not be performed.
The reason for this change is to prevent two different versions of the software from attempting to sync. If the database version, and thus the structure, is different then it would be possible that the data could be corrupted during the sync.
Starting with version 4.2.0.343 the Roaming Workstation will check the database structure of the main company database and verify that it is the same as the Roaming Workstation company database. If the versions are not the same then the following message will be displayed:
The version of the company database on the server, 4.2.0.xxx, is not the same as the version running on this computer, 4.2.0.xxx. In order to synchronize with the server you must be running the same version of the software.
